- Domestic career-
Shahbaz’s first match was for Bengal against Jammu and Kashmir during the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Cup. After that, he played for the Ranji tournament against Hyderabad in the same year.
His List A debut was for team Bengal. He played in this match for Vijay Hazare Cup on 20th September 2018. Later he debuted in the T20 format of cricket with the same team. This match was played for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 24th February 2019.
The same year he has also selected for the list A team. This team played in the Deodhar Trophy which was held in October 2019. After his performance selectors noticed his worth and gave him an IPL contract. Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him for the 2020 IPL edition.
