Atwell started his football career while playing in High School for Miami Northwestern Senior High School team. he played quarterback in high school. After that, he was enrolled in University of Louisville for college football.
College Football
Atwell started his college football career after entering in Louisville University, where he played for Louisville Cardinals Football team. As a true freshman in 2018, he appeared in 12 games and registered 24 receptions for 406 yards and 2 touchdowns as wide receiver. After that in sophomore season, appeared in 13 games with 11 starts and recorded 70 receptions for 1,276 yards and 12 touchdowns. He recorded 1, 276 yards in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and broke the school record of Harry Douglas 1,265 yards in 2019 season.
Later on in 2020 season, Atwell registered 46 receptions for 625 yards and 7 touchdowns and in end 2020 season, he announced that, Atwell is entering in 2021 NFL Drafts.
