Birth & Early Life
Shikha was born on 12th May 1989 in Telangana, India. Her father is a teacher at the Kendriya Vidyala in Goa. Since most of the students in that school came from defense families, Shikha was also inspired to serve her country. Shikha also had a deep passion for cricket which she discovered at the age of five. After completing her engineering course, she decided to focus on cricket as a professional career. Her newfound patriotic spirit led her to join the Indian Air Force. In 2011, she became an Air Traffic Controller.

Career
In 2004, Shikha Pandey made her debut for Goa. She then traveled to Mumbai for further training. Shikha began playing many inter-state tournaments for Goa at that time. In 2007, she played at the domestic season for the Goa Women’s Senior State Side. In 2010, Shikha took a year off from college and participated in the Board of President XI, and played against England and West Indies. In 2013, she played for Goa in the Inter-State T20 tournament.
In 2014, she was selected for India’s tour of Bangladesh and the ICC Women’s World Twenty20. Shikha led her team to victory over South Africa in the ODI. In 2017, Shikha got scouted for the Indian team for the Women’s Cricket World Cup. Her team made it to the finals only to lose against England. In 2020, Shikha got selected for the India Test squad for their one-off match against England.
