Career
Uthappa first made his mark in the cricket world when he performed exceptionally for India B against India A. In the same year, he played even better by making a century. Earlier he was in the under 19 team that won the Asia Cup.

He was selected for the Indian series ODI series against West Indies in January 2007. He didn’t get to play for the first two matches but scored unexpectedly in the third and fourth games.
