Birth and Early Life
KL Rahul was born on 18 April 1992, in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. He started playing cricket at an early age, he was inspired by his father being the director of National institute of technology and professor. He was a sports fanatic who used to play all kinds of sports as a child.
At the age of eleven he started practicing cricket and joined St Aloysius College Centenary Grounds in Mangaluru Central, to improve his skills.

- Domestic career-
Rahul debuted in first-class cricket in 2010-11 for Karnataka in the Ranji trophy. He played in such an extraordinary way that he was selected in U-19 Cricket World Cup in the same year. He was dropped from the team from the domestic team in the year 2012-13, but he scored second highest runs in the next season. He also became the first cricketer to score a triple century from the Karnataka Cricket team against Uttar Pradesh.
In IPL auctions he was first roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013, and Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him the next year. He again returned to Bangalore two years later. In 2018 he was bought by Kings XI Punjab, where he scored the fastest fifty in the Indian Premier League history.
- International career
He made his debut for ODI in the year 2016, against Zimbabwe, where he scored a century, a first by any player that year. In the 2019 ICC world cup, he scored his second century. He made his test debut in 2014 but was not able to perform well in both innings.
Rahul made his first century in Sydney, he became the first Indian cricketer to score a century in his debut in 2016 against Zimbabwe. In his T20 international debut Series, he made a century, that was the second-fastest by a cricketer and fastest by an Indian cricketer.
