Darshan Nalkande was born on 4th October 1998 in Warda, Maharashtra, India. His parents saw his passion for cricket and enrolled him in a summer camp, in Akola Cricket Club. The coaches of the club were impressed and decided to keep him for a year to make him practice.

Career
- Domestic career-
Darshan made his debut during Vijay Hazare Cup. This match was held in Vidarbha on 2nd October 2018. Then he played for Ranji Trophy on 1st November 2018.
With his fabulous performance in cricket, he got a chance to play for IPL. Kings X1 Punjab bought Darshan for the IPL 2019. After his debut, he started playing the T20 format. He debuted during Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy which was held on 21st February 2019.
Nalkande is just five matches old yet he has caught off guard many skilled batsmen with his skiddy fingers. He is evolving as an all-rounder cricketer. He started practicing bowling and gradually moved with batting making him a perfect option any team would need right now.
Darshan was part of the under 19 squads and subsequently got selected for the Youth Asia Cup. But unfortunately, he couldn’t continue his streak and was not selected for the final match of the World Cup.
His spectacular performance with ball and bat at Vidarbha showed fans and selectors what he is capable of. He got selected to play for Ranji Trophy. He took two wickets giving just 26 runs and then he showed magic with the bat.
His two matches were just enough for everyone to acknowledge his skills. He was then bought at the base price in the 2019 IPL edition.
