Career

In 2014, Jabir joined the Indian Navy and trained in their national camp. MP Jabir made his debut in 2015 in the Indian Junior Athletic Championships in Vijayawada, Hyderabad. He brought home the gold medal in the 400m Hurdles. In 2015, he won his second gold in the Federation Cup Junior Athletic Championships in Hyderabad. In 2017, Jabir bagged the bronze medal at the Asian Athletics Championships with a timing of 50.22 seconds. In 2018, he won another bronze medal at the Asian Championships.

In 2019, Jabir competed in the World Athletics Championship held in Doha, Qatar. He finished 5^th place in the 400m Hurdles semifinals. In the same year, he claimed a gold and silver medal in 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay at the South Asian Games, Nepal. He also clinched the gold at the National Inter-State Athletics Championships.  Jabir has qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In 2021, Jabir won gold medals in 400m hurdles at the Indian Grand Prix 4.
