Birth and Early Life
Sarfaraz was born on 22 October 1997 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He spent most of his childhood in Azad maidan where his father and coach taught young aspiring cricketers the basics and ethics of cricket.
His father started his coaching early when he discovered that his son can time the ball well.

Career
- Domestic career-
Sarfaraz first touch of limelight began when he was just twelve and broke the 45 year old record of Sachin Tendulkar in a Harris Shield game. He was playing for his school Rizvi Springfield. He soon began playing for Mumbai under 19 team and his spectacular performance for them made selectors select him in Indian Under 19 team.
He scored well in Under-19’s against South Africa, and the then coach praised him for his performance. He played two under 19 World Cups and scored extremely well, and India finished fifth because of him.
After this season Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him for $5 million. In 2016, he rose as the highest run scorer in ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He started his Ranji career in 2014 when he played against Bengal. In January 2020, Sarfaraz scored his maiden triple century in first class cricket.
