Birth and Early Life
Manish Pandey full name is Manish Krishnanand Pandey and he was born on 10 September 1989 in Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. Later he moved to Bangalore because his father who is an Indian army officer was posted here. He started going to Kendriya Vidyalaya ASC Centre. He was fond of playing cricket and started to attend Karnataka state cricket association. His elder sisters who also played cricket encouraged him further to play for Karnataka domestic cricket team.

Career
- Domestic career-
Manish Pandey made his first-class debut for Karnataka in 2007-2008. He was later selected for the under-19 cricket team. This team emerged winner in the Under-19 World Cup which was held in Malaysia.
After his successful days in the Under-19 Cricket team, he was selected for playing IPL. And this team was none other than Mumbai Indians in 2008. Next, he shifted his base to another good team Royal Challengers Bangalore. This team made him work harder leading him to score a century. He was named the first Indian to do so in an IPL format.
He continued playing for Bangalore which is his home base and led the team to the semifinals of IPL 2009- 10.
His IPL career was not finished yet as he was selected by Kolkata knight riders in 2014 where he smashed a match-winning 94 runs against king’s X1 Punjab. This run machine at the end of the day became man of the match.
He scored top runs in two IPL seasons that is 2014 and in 2017. Next year he was selected by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping base price of 11 crores.
- International career
Manish’s ODI debut was against Zimbabwe on 14 July 2015. He made a match-winning partnership with Kedhar Jadhav. India was struggling when Manish joined in with Jadhav and smashed a lot of runs.
His T20 debut was against the same team on 17 July 2015.
And finally, he was part of the ODI team against Australia which took place in Sydney Cricket ground.
This match was crucial as India had already lost the series and to save their face it was necessary to win one match. He performed exceptionally to make India win the only match of the Series.
Pandey was selected for the World T20 Cup in 2016 as a replacement for Yuvraj Singh. Next he was now the leading batsman for the 15 member squad which played champions trophy in 2017.
