Deepak Hooda was born on 19 April 1995 in Rohtak, Haryana, India. He belongs to Haryana but started playing for Baroda as his domestic team. His mentor played an important role in supporting him to play cricket and trained him. His training allowed him to fit any cricket format.
He initially wanted to become a wicket-keeper and played a few matches as a cricketer but he later switched to batting all-rounder.

Deepak Hooda debuted in the world of cricket in 2012 playing his first-class match for Baroda. His explosive style of batting and balling makes him the best fit for any cricket format. He first came into the limelight when he performed for under-19 cricket World cup in 2014.
He was the second Indian cricketer to score a century in his first-class debut after Snehal Parikh. He is not someone who usually balls but he has so far taken some crucial wickets. He debuted in List A cricket in the same year, he has an amazing average and strike rate.
He debuted in IPL through Rajasthan royals who bought him. In 2015 he scored the fastest half-century for Rajasthan. His impressive performance for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the same year approved him a place in Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was roped in by Kings XI Punjab ahead of the 2020 IPL.
