Sushila made her International debut in 2014 and won the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 48kg by losing to women’s Kimberley Renicks in the gold medal. After that, she got chance in South Asian Games in 2019, and she won the gold medal. Then after one year in 2020 Summer Olympics she played for India in judo but she did not get any medal. After that in 2022 Commonwealth Games, this time she won the silver medal in the women’s 48 kg judo losing to Michaela Whitebooi in the gold medal match.
