Meet Kason Lester, Ex-American Idol Contestant Auditioned for ‘The Voice 23’

Kason Lester, from Lebanon, Tennessee, is a singer who has released a variety of songs such as “Love You Yet”, “Worth Waiting For”, “Come Together” etc. He was on American Idol season 17 in 2019 and made it to the Hawaii Round in the top 40. Now he’s auditioned for The Voice 23, judged by Chance the Rapper, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and Niall Horan.

Who is Kason Lester?

Kason Lester is graduated with a degree in music business and production from Belmont University. Lester works as a strawberry farmer on 200-acre Lester Farms with his brother since before the American Idol audition.

Lester was determined to make a name for himself when he auditioned for American Idol with his version of Chris Janson’s Hold Her in 2019. Although, he impressed the judges, including Katy Perry who said he could be a top 10 contender, Kason was eliminated in the third round alongside Clay Page and Johanna Jones.

Despite being voted off, Kason received an outpouring of support from his local community. His hometown hosted a watch party at the Capital Theatre full of dedicated fans.

This dedication was also followed up by his original EP “Born and Raised” which spawned the hit single “Love You Yet” which reached over 350,000 streams on Spotify.

As if that wasn’t enough, in 2020 Kason released another song titled Unseen to further cement his place in the music industry.

Recently Lester auditioned for Season 23 of The Voice.
