High School

Whittaker attended his high school football at Jace Whittaker. In 2012, Whittaker was the member of CIF San Diego Section Championship team as a junior. After that, he appeared in 2013 CIF San Diego Section Championship.

College Football

Whittaker enrolled in the University of Arizona, where he played for Arizona Wildcats football team. In 2015 as true freshman, he appeared in 11 games with 3 starts and recorded 23 tackles and 4 passes defensed. After that in sophomore season, Whittaker appeared in 12 games with 7 starts and registered 35 tackles, his first career interceptions and a team- high 12 passes defensed in 2016. Later on in 2017 season, started all 13 games and recorded 46 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions and career-high 16 passes defensed as junior. In next season, Whittaker appeared in 1 game and was sit outside wearing medical redshirt in 2018. After that in 2019 season, he appeared 12 games with all starts and recorded career-high 55 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, a sack, 3 interceptions and 9 passes defensed. In end of 2019 season, Whittaker announced that, he his entering in 2020 NFL Drafts season.

NFL Drafts

Whittaker signed with Arizona Cardinals as undrafted free agent in NFL Drafts 2020. On October 4, 2020, he made his NFL debut against Carolina Panthers and then reverted to practice squad after that match. After that on November 11, he played against Miami Dolphins and recorded 2 tackles and then reverted to practice squad after that match. In that season, he appeared in 4 games and recorded 2 tackles on defense. In 2021 season, Whittaker saw in action, where he appeared in 2 games after being reverted from the practice squad and recorded 3 tackles (2solo) and a Quarterback against San Francisco 49ers on October 10, 2019. After that, he appeared as defense and special teams against Dallas Cowboys on January 2, 2022.

In 2022NFL Drafts, Whittaker is signed for Arizona Cardinals for future contract on January 19, 2022.  After that on August 30, 2022, he was waived and signed to practice squad on next day.
