Birth and Early Life
Suryakumar Yadav was born on 14th September 1990, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He learned to play cricket by playing on the streets of Mumbai. At the age of ten, his father noticed his skills and inclination towards cricket and enrolled him in a cricket camp in the BARC colony in Chembur.
At age of 12, his coach H. S. Kamath noticed his exceptional performance and kept him motivated. He went to Elf Vengsarkar Academy, he was guided by Dilip Vengsarkar.

Career
- Domestic career-
Suryakumar played his List A match on 11 February 2010, for his hometown Mumbai against Gujarat, he became the highest run-scorer in this match. A few months later he made his T20 debut for Mumbai against Hyderabad in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
He debuted in first-class cricket in the same year, against Delhi and performed quite well. After his good debut season, he played exceptionally in 2011-12 and topped Mumbai’s run charts. He played significantly better in the match against Orissa and scored a double century followed by another century in the next match. He scored more than 1000 runs in the U-23 match in 2011-12 and won the MA Chidambaram trophy.
He was roped in by Mumbai in 2012, but he didn’t get to play. He was bought by Kolkata knight riders in 2014, where he scored exceptionally and kept to his name.
- International Career
In 2021, He was Selected In 18 player squad of the Indian team for the India vs England T20 series in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmadabad. On the Date of 16 March 2021, He is selected in playing 11 for the 2nd T20 but unfortunately, he Could not bat in this match.
In the Third match (18/03/2021) of this series, he got a chance to play and he also played a tremendous inning. Surya Kumar Yadav scored 56 runs 31 balls. This is the first half-century of his T20 international career.
In 2021, he was selected in the Indian team that was going to play an ODI bilateral series against Sri Lanka. In the first match of this series, He is selected in playing 11 and Sky played the first ODI match of his career. Surya Kumar Yadav did ODI debut on July 18th, 2021, against Sri Lanka.
