Shardul Thakur whose full name is Shardul Narendra Thakur is an Indian bowling all-rounder. He is a Right-arm medium-paced bowler, who plays first-class cricket for the Mumbai cricket team. He was a member of Kings XI Punjab in the Indian premier league. He now plays for Chennai Super Kings.

Birth and Early Life
Shardul was born on 16th October 1991 in Palghar, Maharashtra. He had a craze for playing cricket since an early age, he traveled approximately ninety kilometers from his home in Palghar to practice cricket. He is also known as Palghar by his friends.
He smashed six boundaries in a school match for his Swami Vivekananda school team during the Harris Shield School tournament. It was Dinesh Lad under whose guidance Shardul prospered and his skill enhanced.

Shardul made his debut in first-class cricket on November 9, 2012, for the Mumbai cricket team against Rajasthan in the Ranji trophy. In 2014-15 Shardul played exceptionally well in the six matches during the tournament.
He was the joint-most wicket-taker with R Vinay Kumar in the next season of Ranji’s trophy. He started his List A career on February 27, 2014, in Vijay Hazare Trophy against Baroda.

Thakur was included in the team for the year 2016, an Indian tour of the West Indies but unfortunately couldn’t play. In 2017 he debuted in ODIs, against Sri Lanka. He performed significantly well in the fourth ODI.
He made his T20I debut against South Africa where he sent Henderson back to the pavilion.
The same year he made his test debut, but couldn’t play due to injury against West Indies. He made a comeback against Australia.
Shardul Thakur has now set his foot in the Indian team and is doing his best.
