Zilberman was born in Moscow on 30th January 1989 to Michael and Svetlana Zilberman. His mother was a badminton player. His father was a former member of the Soviet national gymnastics team. He retired and became an assistant coach to the Soviet National Badminton team. Misha as a child used to practice badminton with his mother. In 2007, at the age of 18, Misha joined the army for his a=mandatory service. He became a member of a special program for athletes and continued training for his future career. In 2010, Misha completed his army service.

Career
Misha began competing in junior badminton tournaments in 2003. In 2004, he won the senior Israeli Badminton Tournament. In 2011, Zilberman competed for Odense in the Professional league. In 2012, he reached the finals of Tahiti Air Nui International. In the same year, he won the Israeli Badminton Championship and was ranked 64th internationally.
He represented Israel in the 2012 Summer Olympics and ranked 33rd. In 2013, Zilberman bagged two gold medals at the Maccabiah Games in Men’s Singles and Mixed Doubles. In 2015, he competed in the mixed doubles with his mother at the 2015 Sudirman Cup, China. In the same year, Misha represented Israel in the European Games men’s singles.
In 2016, Misha competed in the Summer Olympics won his first title defeating Yuan Tan of Belgium. In 2017, the Israeli shuttler won a gold medal at the Maccabiah Games in mixed doubles. In 2019, he won the Lagos International title defeating America’s Misbun Ramdan. He also clinched the following edition title defeating Vietnam’s Nguyen Tien. In 2019, he won the gold medal in the Brazil International Tournament. In 2020, Misha competed in the European Men’s Team Championship.
