Narayani made her debut in 2000 as a lead character in DD National’s serial Kahani Saat Pheron Ki as Deepa Shekhar Sehgal. In 2001, she did another lead role in Kohi Apna Sa as Shruti Tushar Gillon Zee TV. She gains more reach and popularity after seen as Kesar Anupam Kapadia sister of lead protagonist Tulsi (played by Smriti Irani) in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (2001-03).
Her negative role Natasha aka Tashu in Kkusum was widely appreciated and loved by her audience. She participated in Nach Baliye season 2 as contestant with her ex-boyfriend Gaurav Chopra. Recently, she appeared as supporting actress in TV series Karn Sangini and Nazar in 2019.
